The ULTRA FIT Training Program

Synergy Fitness and Sports is a licensed ULTRA FIT training facility. Developed by Jay Schroeder, one of the nation’s leading experts on speed and strength training, this system will raise your performance in every aspect of your sport: Speed, Strength, Explosiveness and Endurance.

Ela Soccer Club has made the decision to bring the the ULTRA FIT training system into our training curriculum. We have done so to provide professional training in the area of injury prevention and improved physical fitness and performance. We believe this will help our children train their bodies and mind to get the most out of each.

Optional group sessions are also offered throughout the year. 

We have provided an overview of the system below and look forward seeing your development as the year goes on.

 


Program Overview

 

The ULTRA FIT training system is designed to raise your performance in every aspect of your sport: Speed, Strength, Explosiveness and Endurance.  It will also teach the body to absorb force, create force, and create force at high velocity many, many times.  ULTRA FIT training elicits only the response of the specific trait being trained; nothing else is affected.  It completely eliminates the normal symptoms of overtraining, and can become, depending on the level of the athlete, specific to the very skill being performed without interruption of the base performance of that skill.  Performance of the athlete is always at a very high level and, upon initiation of training; each of these physiological traits can be trained to elicit supercompensatory results.  Yes, not just one level of supercompensation but multiple levels.  This can be manipulated in such a way as to progress through the competitive season choosing which level of performance is desired, according to the level of competition.  There is no off-season any longer, because there is no need for the outdated separation of in, pre, post, and off-season training plans.  Built into the system are the strategies necessary to maintain specific traits for extended periods of time so that others may be heightened. 

What is found in the ULTRA FIT system is the development of what all athletes should strive to achieve, as it defines physiological health.  The ULTRA FIT system has worked for a variety of athletes, ranging in age from 4 to 81.  ULTRA FIT training creates healthy functioning human beings that are prepared to take on the rigors of everyday life and any athletic activity.  It has produced high level results for those who wish to increase their resistance to arthritis, and tendonitis; increase muscle mass; developing and enhancing maximal velocity and velocity endurance.  Male and female participants have experienced the same results.

Athletes recovering from cancer, and or severe injury have within a short time been able to achieve higher levels of performance than they did prior to the setback.  There is no limit to what this system can provide as long as it is implemented correctly and the base requirements are developed before embarking on this training system.

Nearly every sport has specific flexibility, strength, and power requirements that enable participants to excel.  ULTRA FIT programs emphasize education of human movement to increase performance while continuing systematic conditioning. 

The following list gives you some of the important qualities, training techniques and targeted areas of this system.  When you read these, they will stimulate thought to areas of your specific interest.  The ULTRA FIT system is just that adaptive.  Maybe the most interesting fact is that this system works with all ages and meets all the requirements for extending life and performance. Isn’t that what life is all about … trying to move efficiently throughout our day, while keeping ourselves physiologically productive at high levels? As we move through life, it prepares us to take each step regardless of age, sport, or activity.  The ULTRA FIT Training System was not designed to reach high levels of sport mastery but to set much higher standards.  It allows athletes to extend by years their ability to prepare, through training, the traits necessary to compete at elite levels.

 What kinds of things can you expect, and aspects of training:

  • Balance, coordination - the contraction and relaxation of specific muscles, and/or muscle groups.
  • Nervous system development.
  • Connective tissue strength.
  • Usable strength development.
  • There is a more forceful and complete response to catching falling loads, compared to conventional lifting of loads.
  •  All muscle groups are involved in the proportionate production of strength and size; the ancillary muscle groups turn on at the same proportionate rate as the primary movers.  This eliminates a great deal of the chance of injury during performance of the sport skill; it also cuts down the number of exercises that an athlete has to master to enhance their sport skill.

The following is a list of the specific physiological traits that ULTRA FIT training utilizes to elicit these responses.  They are utilized and manipulated through specific methodic schedules and further broken down into sub-traits:

  • maximal velocity
  • maximal force production
  • strength endurance 
  • starting strength
  • acceleration strength

 There are 3 levels of ULTRA FIT training to move through:

Level 1……

 A critical stage for injury prevention and dramatic improvements in speed, ULTRA FIT Beginner Training is designed to prepare athletes to absorb force, regardless of age.

All other types of weight training such as body building, powerlifting, and olympic lifting, work muscles in their shortest (concentric) length. The ULTRA FIT system of training works muscles primarily in their greatest (eccentric) length.

Muscles can absorb much more force eccentrically than they can concentrically.

  Level 2……

 ULTRA FIT Intermediate Training is designed to prepare athletes to create force in correctly balanced positions.

Balance in the proper position is the key to athletic movement.

All other types of weight training, such as body building, powerlifting, and olympic lifting, have no concern for proper position and balance. The goal of these conventional weight training is to lift weight, with no regard for the recruitment of proper muscle activation and relaxation. This is the primary reason traditional weight lifting does not improve athletic movement or prevent muscle injury.

 The ULTRA FIT system of training completely eliminates the need for running as a conditioning method. Instead of running to condition the body, we train the body to be able to run and eliminate oxygen debt through the training system itself.

 Level 3……

 ULTRA FIT Elite Training is designed to prepare athletes to create force in correctly balanced positions, at high velocity.

The development of these athletic traits is what separates elite athletes from mediocre athletes.
